My name is Joy Jones and I enjoy long walks on the beach, bird watching, and rock collecting…just kidding. The truth is I do not have a whole lot of time for hobbies. Most of my “free” time is spent completing graduate work. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and that light hopefully will be coming well into focus come Fall of 2011 (fingers crossed).
I intend to use my graduate degree to further myself professionally by pursuing a career in on-line teaching or designing and creating tutorials of some sort whether it be for academia or other organizations, on a full or part-time basis.
If for whatever reason teaching does not work I will continue to integrate what I have learned from the program into my current position. Communication and technology go hand in hand these days. Organizations have intranets and have allowed IM and most people have heard of Twitter, YouTube, have attended a webinar, or have watched a tutorial at some point or another.
What helps distinguish me from the rest of the crowd is the depth of knowledge obtained by working with these tools in the interactive technology program, the hours spent researching, and knowing when and where to integrate the tools for the most positive outcome.
